I love this restaurant when I visit Coachella. I highly recommend stopping by, especially if you're a fan of Sichuan chinese style food.

There aren't many options for authentic Chinese food in the Coachella Valley. CIE is one of the few and it is delicious. The menu is enormous. They have far more dishes than most of the Chinese restaurants around here. They specialize in dishes from the Sichuan region. The flavors are bold and feature that tongue-numbing Sichuan pepper. I've only ever gone at lunchtime, which is never busy. There aren't many workers here, as it is a family effort. But, the lady who is front of house is amazing. She is good at keeping on top of everyone. The cucumber salad is mindblowing. It is salty and features that spice. Refreshing and decidedly different from anything we have in America. The mapo tofu is exceptional. I order it every time. Szechuan noodle dish is filling and spicy. Basically, everything I've had there is fantastic. Love taking leftovers with me! The one thing that I do not like is their hours. They shut down for periods of time and sometimes aren't open for lunch. The decor is beautiful. The tables have intricately carved bases. The chairs are heavy and wide. There are shelves with vases that look incredibly expensive.

Good Chinese food does exist in the Valley! I was pleasantly surprised by each dish we tried. Lots of options for Vegans. Service was great, we enjoyed their recommendations!

Wow better and more authentic than Chinese food at west LA at half the price! Highly recommended! Quality ingredients, fresh vegetables, authentic taste, reasonable prices, coming from West LA, I am pleasantly surprised!

Just excellent, authentic Sichuan food in a friendly but not fancy environment. We had the spicy dumpling soup, the blistered green beans and a chicken stir fry and all were excellent. Huge menu, lots of options, big tables and booths. Great Sichuan food.

This might be favorite restaurant in the Coachella Valley - of ANY cuisine. I thought I was a NYC Chinatown Chinese food snob, but this little place proved me wrong. We went when it wasn't busy and the two ladies who served us were lovely. We followed many others' reviews and ordered the cucumbers and spicy wonton soup. We wouldn't've ordered either without those suggestions and we would've missed out! SO good! We also had Sichuan noddles and loved them. I feel like it might be hard to go wrong here, and we'll be back to test that theory.

We've been coming to CIE Sichuan for a while now. I personally believe it's the best Sichuan style Chinese cuisine in the Coachella Valley. They have always run a tight crew but have been consistent in the taste of their dishes. The owner/chef is a hard worker and has always been kind to us. Tonight we were taken care of by Jane. Sweet woman, kind woman. Another couple and us were told there was a 30 minute wait time because of a large togo order that came in over the phone. The other couple left, but we happily waited. Shoot, I know how good this food is. I wasn't gonna miss out. Anyways, the time pass by so fast that it didn't even seem like 30 minutes. Our food came out quickly and every dish was delicious. It's a small cute little restaurant. Nothing to get dolled up for. But if you enjoy flavorful Sichuan style Chinese food, I highly recommend you give them a try. - Yaki24 Teppanyaki Catering Jeremy

We are from out of town and looking for some good Chinese food. The ratings drew me in. The neighborhood was not great. It was hard to tell if the restaurant was open. There are few exterior lights, and you couldn't see through the windows. It needs more lighting to be appealing. The street has Civic Center on it and the street is decorated with lit trees, so there are big plans for the future. Don't allow the outside to deter you from going inside!! We ordered sizzling rice soup to start. It was delicious!! There were a LOT of delicious vegetables and pieces of white meat chicken. Very hot tasty broth!! The chicken fried noodles was on point!! We could taste the garlic, which added a lot of flavor. My wife said it was her favorite!! The beef Broccoli was the highlight for me. The sauce was extremely savory, best sauce I've ever had (and I'm Cantonese!!). I even poured it over my rice. The Broccoli was perfectly cooked, as was the beef!! All in all, best Chinese food I've had in a long time!!

I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. This is literally the best Chinese/Sichuan food restaurant I've ever been to. I live in Vegas and visited this place during my short trip to La Quinta. It was so good I went back the next day to try more dishes. This place beats all Chinese restaurants in various Chinatowns I've been to. So sad I live too far away and won't be able to go back -Cold dressing clear noodle: 10/5 I've tried this dish at many other places and this one was the BEST. I was blown away after the first bite. It has a perfect balance of sweet, tang and spicy. -Spicy combo pot: 4.5/5 delicious and generous portion! -spicy cucumber: 10/5 another great dish! I think they use the same dressing on this and clear noodle. This is the most delicious cucumber dish I've ever had. -Spicy wonton soup: 5/5 it was super filling and the broth was perfect. It was actually spicy which I really appreciated. I miss this place so much! Hope I can find a similar place in my town

Authentic AF! This place is amazing. We ate here for lunch on Sunday. The food and the decor are just outstanding. We had the spicy fish, beef pot, and shui mai. All great! But listen, the service is not stellar. Our food was dropped off and we didn't see her again until the check. We had no water refill, no visit to see if we needed anything, no eye contact whatsoever. She forgot the rice, and never apologized for it, but the food was that good! Hence the 4 stars. Would have been 5 if they served us better. Lastly, for the record, med spice is plenty spicy!
